Bits & Pieces of my Travel Journal :INDONESIA

As it turned out to be a lazy Sunday afternoon at home I went back to my "Bits & Pieces of my travel journal that I started to work on some posts ago and today I want to go back to one of my visits to Indonesia - Java.
As there are already more then enough specialised bloggers about travelling I only want to share some personal thoughts on photography and experiences .
All pictures where captured during my trip but it was the time that digital camera's weren't available yet so I re-photographed them recently hope they didn't loose their colours.
It has been one of my best travel experiences when we visited Java and Bali but let me take you to Java first, an Amazing Island that can be described as an explosion of culture that takes your breath away , it's the smell of the green rise fields and tea plantations, the beauty of the local people and the colours of everything around you that makes it so special.

Here below the image of a beautiful old lady which we captured on the way to the top of the Krakatau volcano that covers the island of Java and is still active, we had the wonderful experience of riding to the top on horses no words can describe the feeling of this and I highly recommend it if you want to go up.
Of course you can not leave Java without visiting the Borobudur, one of mankind's greatest religious monuments and breathtaking ( images here above ) but there is so much more on this Island then following the usual route.
The people are incredible friendly and it has been a journey of experiences and culture tasting.
We passed by some small villages around Jakarta where we where invited at a family home they offered us everything they had cooked for lunch while their beautiful little girl was starring at us with her big brown eyes.
I could write for hours about this Island as there is so much too see and experience but I believe some day you just need to pack your bags and go!
