Bits & Pieces of my Travel Journal: SAN LORENZO AL MARE

As Marzia just shared with you some beautiful places at the Italian coast, I just couldn't resist to take you along a bit further down the coastline to share with you some more places you absolutely need to visit while you're around!

San Lorenzo al mare is our destination for the fall-spring and summer weekends.
And as spring is on the way we are now frequently moving to the seaside again.
Most of the Italians have a second home within their family either in the mountains or at the seaside which they use to get away from the big city's during the weekend and holiday breaks.
As Turin is only 1 hour driving away form the seaside it's great to reach that holiday spirit only a hour away from your hectic daily life.

San Lorenzo is 2 hours driving from Turin and it's a fantastic small town at the Liguria sea side in the north of Italy close to the French border.
As it's still a non touristic place it's a real pleasure to go there for the weekend just to relax and do nothing , our home is on top of a hill which give you a spectacular view on the recently build harbour and the hills around us.

When you drive away from the beach side and into the countryside you will find olive trees allover, this part of the Italian coast is famous for it's great Olive tree plantations, one of our favourite brands is   Olio carli you can order directly form their website.
